Terms of service
Effective date: 5 September 2026
These terms cover your use of the boxaroo app. Boxaroo is run by The Good Company (an interim legal entity while boxaroo's own company is being set up). By creating an account or ordering a box, you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, email hello@boxaroo.ae.
What boxaroo is
Boxaroo is a marketplace that connects you with partner shops - florists, homeware stores, fashion boutiques and similar - who post surprise boxes of brilliant unsold stock. The partner shop is the seller of the box. Boxaroo provides the app, the ordering and payment flow, and the collection process, and steps in to help if something goes wrong.
Surprise boxes
The exact contents of a box are a surprise and will vary. What is always stated up front is the box's category (for example flowers, home & living, or fashion) and the item count. Every box carries our guarantee:
Every box is worth at least double what you pay.
If your box doesn't match its stated category or count, or falls short of the worth-at-least-double promise, see our refunds policy for how we put it right.
Ordering and payment
You pay for your box in the app at the time you order. During our beta period, a test payment mode may be active, in which case no real charge is made and this will be made clear in the app before you order.
Collection
Every box has a collect-by time and a collection code, both shown in the app after you order. To collect your box, show your code to shop staff, who will confirm the handover in the app before releasing it to you. If you do not collect your box by the collect-by time, it is treated as forfeited and no refund is due, unless the shop agrees otherwise.
Your conduct
When using boxaroo, please:
- Only order boxes you intend to collect.
- Treat shop staff and other customers respectfully.
- Use the app for personal use, not to buy boxes for resale.
- Keep your account details and collection codes to yourself.
We may suspend or close an account that misuses the app or repeatedly fails to collect paid orders.
Liability
Boxaroo is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Responsibility for the quality, safety and legality of a box's contents sits with the partner shop that supplied it. Where boxaroo is found liable for a claim relating to an order, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as boxaroo grows. If we make a change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
